Hello fellow katana wielders

http://yan.cgsociety.org/gallery/878401/
Welcome to the wonderful world of katanas! On my blog you will see some of the most exquisite katanas. There are a lot of different styles of these beautiful blades, here you can explore them all. This is a picture of my favorite katana Black Blade, made by Hitachi Marimoto I found the picture on If you fancy these beautiful yet dangerous blades called katanas you should subscribe right away. These fine blades are strung along a long line of  Japanese history and culture.                                                                                                                                                                                   When a samurai disgraced himself in battle he was sentenced to seppeku. Seppeku was a punishment for a samurai after a defeat in battle. When seppeku is performed the samurai is handed his Katana and he has to stab himself in the stomach with it. Seppekus dictionary meaning is stomach stabbing which is itself explanatory the warrior was to stab himself it the stomach. Samurais followed a code of conduct just like knights. The samurais code of conduct was called Bushido, just like knight's the samurais had to be chivalrous and respectful. Some samurais are immortalized just like the precious katanas they wield such as Amakuni Yasutsuna. Some believe that he is the first creator of a katana.

Some master craftsmen have made katanas that can cut through military tanks! If you think that is interesting you should subscribe to my blog and be amazed with my knowledge with katanas. In fact I own a White Tiger katana set with every piece to it! Right now I am looking for a original kimono that match's the set. So if you are sword savvy join this blog and google away! :]

  1. I did not know that samurais stabbed themselves after a lost battle. I did not know that honor meant that much to them. Good blog.

  2. I like the idea of your blog. Katanas are pretty cool and are great weapons. For a history buff, I would love to know more about the history and the making of katanas. A few things I would like to add is that you should proof read your post before, correct your spacing, and look over your grammar. Good luck!
